It's been almost 2 years....make the clothing options buyable with points.

It's been almost 2 years and with the instruments getting harder to get (and becoming expensive collectors items) I wish they could allow us an alternative method to buy all the stuff in the clothing shop via Xbox points (and the sony equivilent.) I really would like to customize my band with some of the stuff that's out of reach.

Also a venue select for quickplay would be nice too. Pretty please?

Would be nice, but don't get your hopes up. That would require patching the game, and as far as we know Harmonix doesn't plan on releasing any more updates to the core game.

Not much to do at this point but hope that there'll be renewed emphasis characters, cinematics, and aesthetics in RB4 if there will indeed be such a thing.

It took me until about 9 months ago to figure out that there is SOME clothing that you can buy in the store! I got a t-shirt just because I could.

But no, none of the clothes were clothes you get for completing goals. Those must be earned.

I fought hard for this back when RB3 was new, but I realized it doesn't matter at this point.

That, and I realized I'm good enough to grind out at least 90% of the un-fun goals they lock clothes behind if they bring this rotten system back for another game.

This is unlikely to happen for a couple of reasons. At this point, 2 years after the release of RB3, devoting additional dev time to in game art assets isn't a high priority. Adding items to the store isn't as simple as dragging and dropping from one folder to another, and with several other games in development we don't have a lot of free time devoted to RB3 wishlist fixes.

Additionally, it has always been my understanding that we've avoided adding in game assets like clothing and venues to the store because it would disrupt online compatibility. Much like how you can only play DLC online with other players that have that same DLC, we didn't want to add another layer of downloadable content that further splintered the online community. That's always been a big part of the reasoning as it has been explained to me.
