But it was done, so now everyones looking for this year's Giants, and they fall on the Brewers because of their offseason. Again, I see them falling well short of the expectations.
"This year's Giants" will most likely come from the NL or AL West, which is every team there BUT the Mariners. I see the Seattle Mariners going for the All-time worst record in baseball history this year.

Even if they happen to win that division, they won't make it far in the playoffs.
I think Marcum is good, but I question Greinke. Also agree with you that if they make the playoffs, they're out early.

My early predictions for NL are:

    East: Phils
    Central: Reds
    West: Giants
    WC: Brews

    We're doing predictions already?

As long as the WS doesn't include the Yankees, Red Sox, or Phillies, I'd be happy.

Yankees 2011/2012 offseason will include singing Pujols, teaching him to play 3rd, moving A-Rod back to short, and moving Jeter to left.

that would make for a GREAT defensive team.

all 3 guys playing positions theyve never played or havent played in years and everyone a year older. best of all, jeter, who has been ripped for limited range, having him cover a terribly large LF.

if anything, put pujols in LF like he was back when he first came up with the Cards.

which is STILL terrible. sadly, the yankees have no play for pujols unless they alternate him and Teixeira at 1B/DH

After all is said and done, I think Pujols would still be a Cardinal 2 seasons from now.

I can't see him moving anywhere and I can't see the Cardinals letting one of the greatest hitters ever to slip through their reach.
