Beltran over McCutchen doesn't make much sense to me

While McCutchen is batting .294 to Beltran's .281, both guys have 12 home runs and Beltran has McCutchen beat in the RBI department, 55 to 46. They're having pretty comparable seasons.

i would take mccutcheon over beltran as well because i think he's a better overall player at this point. he played well over 30 games batting lead-off which would explain why the RBI difference. the thing that probably hurt clutch is that he had a very crappy april but then had a terrific june. beltran has at least been consistent.

It's certainly not clear-cut that Beltran deserved the nod over McCutchen, but I'd say it's a toss-up between the two guys.

when all else fails, i look at who gives me more value in a fantasy league lol. right now clutch is # 23 while beltran is #52.
