    I get that Aviles had his hot streak a while back and was showing some power, but he's cooled off some, is posting a sub .300 OBP and STILL is being put in the leadoff position.

    But last time beckett played he gave up 7 runs in 2 and 2/3 innings which red sox lost that 1
