What's better than that? They swept them. Too bad the Angels just lost 2 of 3 against the Indians so they weren't really able to capitalize.

Run prevention is not our team's problem. At least, not our team's major problem.

If your point is tradebait, then okay. I'd be pretty surprised to see Walker make the majors with Seattle, frankly. Hultzen's too good to trade, and Paxton's just barely third-best in the system, so he wouldn't fetch a ton. Walker's solidly average (at worst) in AA and he's not even 20 yet, so he would fetch a ton.

Hell, trade two of them, give a rotation spot to Andrew Carraway (think Doug Fister, only not quite as good) and a free agent or two. I'd be fine with that.

hold on, I could understand that the clock is running out on Smoak. but Montero has to be given a damned chance. As I said earlier, you just drafted a catcher Zunino who is probably the most major-league ready position player in the '12 draft.

I swear, you M's fans are almost more cynical than Sox fans.

I said they might all need to go to AAA. I didn't say they needed to go to the waiver wire.

A 22 year old needing to go to AAA is not exactly headline news.

None of them will accomplish anything in Seattle with all of the horrid hitters that seem to end up in M's uniforms.

All Mariners hitters are considered atrocious until they prove otherwise. This is a firm stance that I take. As for that prospect the Mariners drafted, I'll believe it when he hits 70+ Hrs in his rookie season while clean, which won't happen. Chances are, he'll be another Miguel Olivo clone; decent fielder but can't bat above the mendoza line if the lives of all his loved ones depended on it.

Considering that the Red Sox have won two World Series in the past decade, both coming more recently than the last time the Mariners had enough wins to be in the mix of the Wild Card race, I'd assume that Mariners fans would be more cynical than Red Sox fans.
