Is that not the most perfect(ly hilarious) resolution possible for him?
Maybe he can pitch. I was looking at the Marlins and the best I can figure, their rotation will be: Nolasco, Alvarez, Eovaldi, Turner and Slowey. Three kids and a couple of ****bags. In that division, all five could hit the 20 loss plateau.

Slowey isn't on there because he signed a minor league deal.

I still don't understand how the Marlins can be giving people Minor League contracts when, to the best of my knowledge, they still don't have a Major League team.

Their attendance for the entire season might not be equivalent to more than a few sellouts for a single night at that garish ballpark. And its capacity is only 37,000.

Seriously, unless there's some totally *****in' bobblehead or something I don't know why they'd draw more than 4 or 5 thousand a night, if that. Makes me feel bad for the stadium employees and vendors, because some of them are bound to lose their jobs, and none of this was their fault.

If you need something to cheer you up DWB, how about news that Michael Pineda may miss all of 2013 just as he missed all of last year. More optimistic estimates have him debuting in June, but either way he's still a long way from throwing his first meaningful pitch as a Yankee.

You may have just answered your own question right there. They only give out minor league contracts because they're not a major league team.

At this rate, Campos will throw his first meaningful pitch as a Yankee before Pineda. As it is, how well Campos does will determine the winner/loser for this trade unless Montero becomes the second coming of Edgar Martinez or Jay Buhner this upcoming season (if his numbers are the same as last year's then it'll still be a wash at the moment due mainly to how atrocious Noesi's pitching is).

And now evidently Kameron Loe, too. The M's are stocking up on guys who could maybe-kinda-sorta be a #5 starter. Which is all right. That's what spring training is for.
