I'm actually quite shocked the Mets are only a few games under .500 at this point.

And now they are talking about possibly trading Wright? And they're most likely losing Reyes and Beltran after the season to free agency or during the season via trade... what are they smoking up there?

they are smoking reality lol. there was no way they were gonna be able to resign reyes and i doubt they have interest in bringing back beltran. trading wright would be a mistake. i think he's got some years left on his deal right?

they have to retool. beginning with pitching.

I'd say trade K-Rod, keep Wright (it makes absolutely no sense to trade him at this point), and let Beltran test free agency. And maybe trade Reyes before the deadline to get something for him and re-build their depleted farm system. Beltran is having a good year but he's been on the decline, he only maybe has 2-3 solid years left, let him go to a contending team that's willing to take a chance on him (*cough*Yankees*cough*).

IF he can stay healthy, and that's a big IF. his defense isnt what it was and it seems he's more suited to the DH role.
    bman is a silly goose.

im sure they could find someone to take on k-rod but they would have to eat a good part of the contract, i would think. beltran and reyes both need to be traded.

reyes would fit in nicely with the giants. i know that was a rumor a little while ago. maybe come away with bumgarner or something like that.

Yeah, we could definitely use some starters as well as some bullpen help.

Did you go to this game in person or watch it on TV?
