Another song from Magnus 'SoulEye' Palsson, "Pressure Cooker", is still missing from August last year.

Well, on the AU/UK PSN Store, we have these RBN songs missing...

    Chaotrope - The Cascade Effect
Free Spirit - Far Away From Heaven (RB3 version)
    Free Spirit - Preacher Man
Magnus 'SoulEye' Palsson - Paced Energy
The Blue News - Just A Game

And, the ones added last week, there are some pricing issues there as well...

The Irresponsibles - Break Me (it's listed as being $0.99 on the US Store - which it is, but it's full price in the UK (£0.99 instead of £0.59) and full price in Australia ($2.45 instead of $1.30)).

    The opposite is true for...

Teenage Bottlerocket - Bigger Than Kiss (it's listed as being $1.99 on the US Store as per hmxhenry's announcement - which it is, but it's only £0.59 in the UK and $1.30 in Australia).

Now with the apparent downtime for us PS3 users outside the US...

What does it mean for new DLC being released? Will we get it eventually? When normal DLC delivery resumes in Summer (which I assume is June/July... that's a damn long time) will we be playing catch-up for months again waiting for SCEE to make them available or will they all magically appear at once?

There are still songs, packs and possibly some pro-upgrades missing from the AU/UK Stores, and now there'll no doubt be a backlog for future content as well.

Will the "downtime" address the older DLC as well?

Will we Australian/European users have access to the very same content that is available in the US?

And, since Harmonix is negotiating the way in which it's delivering future DLC on the PS3 (in Europe) and Nintendo, is there any hope that some day, we will get ALL of the RBN 1.0 and 2.0 content that is available on the XBOX360? I don't mind them having a 30 or even 90 day exclusivity, but it would be nice to be able to own and play the same tracks that 360 users have.

I just wonder how it's possible that "normal DLC delivery" is able to continue on the PS3 in America, as well as on the XBOX 360!

All this delay will do, is further delay content, and some will no doubt lose interest in playing Rock Band any more if there's nothing new coming out for it in the next 2-3 months.

The good news: you will get all the DLC that's released during the downtime eventually.
The less pleasant news: DLC releases might not resume until August. HMX is doing their best to get this issue resolved ASAP (trust me when I say it's definitely a priority for them), but it's not something they have complete control over.

At what speed and in which quantities the belated DLC will be released is not yet known at this time.

All of the older content that's already in the store will remain available in the store.
As for tracks that are missing, the situation is a bit less clear. As far as I know, any that have already been resubmitted might still come out, but please don't take my word as absolute truth on this.

This is unlikely to happen, sorry. The current situation was necessary to maintain RB/RBN DLC releases on all systems as is, no more, no less.

There's a number of factors involved, ranging from the setup of a console's online infrastructure to the legal side of things, that influence how fast the issue can be resolved on each console and in each region.

Just spitballing here, but during this period of DLC inactivity would it be possible (in lieu of offering new tracks) to offer discounts or specials on different tracks/packs/albums each week to those affected?

    Thanks for the reply Der_Lex.

I only ask about the missing RB1 DLC for those who still want to purchase it, and for those that have, in the event that we delete the content/upgrade our hard drives, we wouldn't be able to re-download those missing songs/packs.

August is 4 months away. Without new content each week, that want to play the game just isn't there any more. And, when it does resume, I can only imagine what chaos there will be in "catching up" with all those weeks of RB3 and RBN 2.0 content whilst trying to get current content added at the same time.

I only hope there's a speedier resolution to these negotiations!

Please give us some good news!

I just randomly went on the store and for some reason every song was listed as unavalable, which was odd. And I mean every song, I checked quite a few out and it was saying the same thing. Then I went back a few minutes later and it's back to normal. Don't know if theres a problem but it was very weird to see.

Well, as far as I can tell, everything that was there, is still there.

It seems Nintendo Wii gamers are still getting new DLC (in the US and Europe), so that was sorted out quickly. I know SCEE are slack, but do "negotiations" really take months?

I really hope we get regular DLC again, and soon. And, also looking forward to the new Rock Band Blitz game they'll be releasing (which I hope will be available outside the US - it's not clear in the announcement). Any hints as to if/when there'll be a Rock Band 4???

Please hmxhenry, give us PS3 users in Europe/UK/Australia some good news!
