I've technically been on vacation. I haven't been to work or school in almost a week and I've got people waiting on me hand and foot. Try having a horrific accident sometimes, they can be quite rewarding.

You know, except for the pesky debilitation, pain, nausea, and invasive dreams.

It was weird, first the doctors thought I just ran into a truck and the only real damage was just a screwed up wrist and some scrapes from sliding on the road. They originally thought I just cracked a rib, but that's nothing serious. They fixed my wrist, x-rayed my chest and sent me home covered in bandages and a metal splint. I could walk, just my foot was a little swollen. That night I collapsed in the ground and my wife whose a biochem major looked at it and said it was broken. We went back to the hospital and sure enough I'd broken some interior bones in my foot. They also noticed I had some really obscure bruising in my chest area. After the accident report came in they realized I'd hit the ground harder than I thought after making an arch of 15 feet of air time where I landed on my hip causing my shoulder to dislocate my nose and my shoulder to slam my chest causing the cracked rib and lung damage. I was already having breathing issues and was on a ton of meds so I didn't really notice anything.

Pain pills wonderfully mask other symptoms. When I got in my motorcycle crash I badly broke my tail bone, but because of all the demerol it healed before my leg was healed and I was off the pills. I did not find it out til 16 years later when they x rayed me for a back injury.

I'm really glad my wife took doctor level anatomy classes, I thought I just had a bad bruise, but she noticed even with some swelling that my bones were out of place. She's my life saver.
