I havent look at a manual in like 5 or 6 years. I dont really care that they are becoming a thing of the past because the first hour or so of games are tutorials so I dont need the manual to tell me how to play a game.

It all depends on the game. For something like SSB it's neat to have the little book that tells you about all the characters and how to do all their moves.

a move list in the pause menu can do that same thing and should be in a fighting game like SSB anyway.

I dont get why you would want to look at Pikachu's moves when you arent playing the game.

I guess you don't have siblings that you would play video games with. I had to share all my consoles. If I wanted to play SSB I would have to wait for one of my brothers to finish playing whatever they were playing so it's nice to have the booklet to look over.
