Prepare you razor. The game interface seems so awkward.. Flags? o_o Meh.

The main problem I have with this game and the short reviews that came along with is the lack of reference of RB3 and its Pro Mode.

It's just disappointing and I think HMX really did the worst job ever at advertising "The" groundbreaking revolution of rhythm games. It's like they wanted the mode to be loved only by informed gamers and we hardcore fans. I just don't get it.

What seems like the biggest Make it or Break it is the fact that you can use any guitar. That has to be damn near clunky as hell, or damn near impossible. I'm not sure of the accuracy of measuring sound wavelengths or, vibrations within the string, whatever the heck it is it's not gonna end up being accurate, and it's gonna end up spawning bad reviews.

You probably have to have your guitar properly tuned for the best experience

I'm stoked to read the customer rage regarding this after it's released.

My first reaction was... Cool, everyone begging for RB's competition just had their prayers answered.
After seeing the ads, I'm a little less sure. It can teach you guitar it seems (as long as you only want to learn one string at a time notes), but there doesn't appear to be any sorta multiplayer "band" mode, which is a huge fail from a gamers perspective.
Ubisoft can probably at least prepare to be eatin' up by Activision.

EDIT: "loogie"? What the hell is that iPhone?
    Try "little"

On some sites the user comments about this press release give the impression that people seem to be more aware of Power Gig's failed attempt at using a guitar than they are of RB3's Pro mode with the Squier/Mustang.

I'm torn about this: On one hand, IF it works with ANY guitar then RB3's Pro Mode is either stone dead or HMX will have to get a patch out that can use RockSmith's converter ASAP. On the other hand, I'm far from convinced that the RockSmith converter will work for anything but single notes, esp not in fast sequences. and what about lag? Even though this solution seems to be wired, I'm afraid it will take quite some time to convert the audio into game data which means that the lag will be noticeable. But IF it works then I'll be all over it. Won't buy it before I've read some reliable reviews though. I'm quite sure this will be a lot better than Power Gig which you could see was going to be c**p by just reading their descriptions on the site. Good enough to give Rock Band a match? Not so sure, but with the right marketing they will sell a noticeable amount of games. I'll follow the development with a great deal of interest to see if they can pull it off.

I honestly thought this was an April Fools joke, but no. Too early for that.
On temporary hiatus from Rock Band. Too busy playing Rocksmith.
