To my knowledge, some do already, but the game (at launch) is meant to be guitar-centric.

Ha! Metal in not my cup of tea, but I did have fun with the drop D tutorials in RB. I was like, "No wonder people like to play this, it's like beating a tom tom."

I generally find Drop tunings are for absolute wastes of my eardrums. Most bands who use Drop tunings are just...abysmal.

Though, bands like Gojira, Mastodon and Soundgarden are god-tier for exemplifying how good Drop tunings can be.

ok, question. I'm through the third gig in carrer mode and I've "unlocked" a couple of guitars and pedals. When I go into amp mode, i can select the guitars but none of the pedals are there. Anybody know why? Am I doing something wrong?

It'd be uncool if you could plug in and play songs, but not partake in any other part of the game (training/the mini games). Wonder if they will 'fully' implement it.

I'd hope they'd let one with a four string (most common obviously) play everything too.
RB animation needs luv & life:

I do enjoy playing the RB3 Soundgarden songs despite the drop tuning. Burden in My Hand is pretty fun, but like you said, Soundgarden does drop tuning right vs. just making it an easy way to play power chords really fast.

Not sure I'd say it's 'uncool' of them if they didn't include bass with mini games, technique trainers, etc. Bass was never the intended focus of the game and while it should be easy to add songs for bass, altering/adding trainers and minigames would require a heavier investment in development. Not sure it's worth it for them to do that in this iteration or if they should focus on putting that stuff in Rocksmith 2.

If I ever get to the point where I can play well (I'm horrible right now), I would love a Telecaster! Heard they're a very versitile instrument.

I got mine off of craigslist for $200! I love my SG and it's a nicer playing guitar, but for funk music, you can't really beat a telecaster
