Not sure exactly what you mean by this, but you can adjust volume levels in the options menu; guitar volume (yours,) music volume (backing track,) and audience volume are all independently adjustable. Additionally, you can create custom tones for your guitar and use them in a song which gives you another method of 'cutting through' the mix.

In response to "implement manual speed settings in Riff Repeater"

We have many musicians on the team, and we constantly play the game ourselves so we very much understand these struggles. We hear your concerns, and I will ask our team to reevaluate our current priorities to see if we can squeeze something in. Remember we are a small team, and are still working on the PC port, and Bass Expansion.
Just to get a sense where our thinking was throughout development and even now, is that to us Rocksmith needs to be fun first. If Rocksmith isn't fun, no one will want to practice guitar. Being able to manually set speed (and a whole lot more) was originally envisioned for the practice/riff repeater element of Rocksmith. Just because it didn't make it into what's on the disc now doesn't mean we still don't want it.

I mean that I wish the original guitar tracks were on a separate stem the way they are in Rock Band, so that I could mute just the original guitar and play along with the rest of the backing track. It's not an incredibly big deal, just a minor disappointment.
It's all right. Everything will work out fine.

i think he means he was expecting the tracks to not have the original recorded guitar in them, or to have the original guitar mixed lower in the track. neither of which is possible since we know that, unlike in RB, they are not working with the masters, which is what you'd need to have to remix the tracks or remove an instrument entirely.

Haha - I think I understand, but may need one more person to explain it to me....

Yeah, it would be better if you could get rid of the original guitar part, but I have found that sometimes while playing a master mode song, it's occasionally nice to have the reference!
