    @tnevaker

    The controversy came when a former Rocksmith staffer that now works on Bandfuse claimed Rocksmith staff used online tabs instead of trying to figure the songs out on their own.

    considering the relative obscurity of most of the bands on the RS soundtrack, it seems like that would be difficult. you can't use online tabs for songs that don't have online tabs.

    I have a question about the dynamic difficulty. The only thing really keeping me away from buying a guitar and Rocksmith is the dynamic difficulty. Is there a way to turn it off/get around it? I enjoy progressing from one difficulty to the next and when I get better I would like to play the chart in its entirety instead of mastering the intro which would be at its default difficulty and work my way up mid song.

    That's what I thought too. Even some of the DLC like brand new Black Keys or their Christmas pack wouldn't have tabs yet.

    Honestly, that's kind of how I felt. If there is some way that you can try it out first, I strongly recommend that you do. That way you can determine if the way the difficulty scales in a way that works for you.
    It's spelled "Squier." Stop spelling it like someone who is in training to be a knight.

    I talked to the former staffer and the quote is taken out of context. He isn't happy about it.

    I hadn't heard about this game. Interesting that someone thinks that it's worth making another RS-like-any-real-guitar game.

    Thanks for the link to the survey. I actually don't care so much about the prize, I just genuinely want the company to know how I feel about their product.

    I know nobody probably cares, but I was a very new guitarist, only spending about maybe 20 hours in Rock Band 3 pro mode before playing Rocksmith. Now, I am at 950/1000 GS. I think the game is very capable of teaching.
    On temporary hiatus from Rock Band. Too busy playing Rocksmith.

    I'd be happy with winning an SG.. Survey was pretty nice actually. Some good questions, that gave you a sense that they knew the big problems with their model and had some interesting options they were considering moving forward.

    They hinted at online multi-player in one of the questions, which for one minute made me think they might actually be able to make that happen... Which would be sweet, but not really sure they could

    I ranked Rock Band higher overall than RS in the survey... Mostly because I think RB gets a TON of things right relating to practice modes, menuing, game feedback, and performance, while RS still doesn't even let you manually adjust practice speed. RB also is winning on DLC output, and outbound communication.
