you mean
this one?
most notable thing about that article is how uninformed the writer is about both rock band AND rocksmith. while RB3 pro mode doesn't even get a mention, rocksmith is basically dismissed as a failure (based on what, i'm not sure) yet the writer doesn't even seem to be aware of what rocksmith is capable of. for example, he talks about the ability to play guitar over the menus and such in this new game, as well as being able to use it as an amp through your console.... seemingly unaware that rocksmith can do both those things as well. HA, ROCKSMITH!!!!! now you know how RB3 felt all those months you were getting hyped by ignorant journalists who didn't know anything about pro mode!
also, when he talks about rocksmith's "laggy guitars" he just shows how stupid he is about this technology. the lag in these games isn't due to the software or the technology, it's due to the different sound setups. just because this new game didn't have any lag, on one single system, that was custom put together to demonstrate the game at it's optimum capabilities, doesn't mean it won't have lag when real people start playing it with different guitars on different TVs and sound systems.
anyway, as for the new game itself, it basically sounds EXACTLY like rocksmith, except with a better tab/notation system (yay! someone finally got scrolling tabs right) and singstar-style video backgrounds. just like with rocksmith though, time will tell whether the game can match the hype.
