Huh, she's actually 20 now and Britney is like 8 years older than me. Neither of which I hope ever come to Rocksmith.

I would by them for comedic sake. Just as it can be funny to play Iron Man at say, an old folks home, it would be funny to play Opps, I Did it Again to a bunch of hipsters.

I'm just not sure if that has a recognizable riff.

I just discovered something tremendously useful in Rocksmith.

You can set, in accelerator, the mastery level to a level higher than the current mastery level. I always assumed it would only do the highest level reached via song playing and/or 'leveler'. This is wrong.

One of my biggest annoyances is this sequence, which often happens in solos:

play section at 30% mastery in leveler - too many notes, confused.
go to accelerator, play 30% master at 50% speed, figure it out. Get to 100% speed and pass.

Go back to leveler, play at 30%, and now pass it. Now it's at 35%, and the extra notes throw me off.

Back to accelerator, playing 35% at 50% speed, etc etc. Going in and out of accelerator/leveler is slow and klunky.

Turns out, assuming leveler is stuck at say, 30%, I can just go to accelerator
and once I pass 30% master at 100% speed, I can immediately try 35/40/whatever percent right in accelerator. This is really handy.

The annoying part is you want to 'set speed' when you hit 100%.
Otherwise it kicks out out of accelerator as soon as you pass 100%.

HUGELY useful. When they introduced the latest (non-bass) patch, that was one of the best things about it. I've noticed that on the accelerator, sometimes it will go from, say, 95% speed, where I can hack it, all the way up to 100%, which is too fast. I've had sections that I was practicing where I literally dialed the speed up 1% at a time to get my fingers used to the new speed. This is indescribably useful.

And the only reason I own RS is because I bought the Squier for RB3. Since we are on the Rock Band forums, after all.
It's spelled "Squier." Stop spelling it like someone who is in training to be a knight.

That's actually one of the only things I think the Rocksmith riff repeater does better than Rock Band... It let's you take the full chart to 25% speed in 1% increments where Rock Band limits you to 70% speed in more blocky increments...

For most other purposes the Rock Band pro guitar/bass trainers are better than the Riff Repeaters in Rocksmith, but being able to set difficulty to 100%, then move up in 1% increments all the way from 25% speed is pretty sweet.

if they could add a metronome then it would be perfect.

I agree, a metronome would be an excellent addition to RS.

Who do I have to get drunk in order to get "Red Solo Cup" in Rock Band?
