Ah good point. Personally, I see no reason for an online mode. For me it will be more about learning guitar than playing a 'game'

Agreed, I am really hoping this can fool me into practicing more. The whole mini games thing has me pretty excited now that I realize that they are cleverly disguised muscle memory/fundamentals trainers.

What I want to know, and cloud please cover this in the review, is how accurate the note detection is. In rock prodigy for the iPad for instance i get ten percent missed notes on the low e string

How could you not like this setlist? What music do you like?
my favorite is pretty much Prog (Rush, Coheed and Cambria). But straight up Rock in general. 80's metal, Classic stuff (what can I say, i'm a bit older than your average gamer out there) There is stuff on this list that I like but I am unfamiliar with the music and the bands. Haven't heard of like 70% of this list. so really, familiarity with the list is a big part of the dislike. but like I said before, i'm sure a lot of it will grow on me after awhile. but looking forward to songs I really like to become available.

The other thing that puts me off is the sheer size of the tone customization, but that's hardly the game's fault.
    Hey Cloud,

is there any menu options that allow you to modify the color coding of the strings? I'm a bit color blind and am wondering if the color coding will give me struggles.

Wow, really regret buying a Yourock Guitar now. Could have have got the Epihone Bundle with the game for less and this is looking to be a stellar trainer, especially the Guitarade or whatever mingames.

    Ah well, live and learn.

You can get used guitars on craigslist pretty cheap. I got a Fender Telecaster (MIM) a couple weeks ago for $200 (also have a SG Standard, but wanted the tele to get funky with.) In my area there are routinely squiers, ibanzes, epiphones, etc for sub $100

Hmx need to learn a lot from what this is doing. Mini games 20 or more levels of dynamic difficulty, using any guitar. This seems like pro mode done right to me. Cmon hmx rise to the challenge
