There's no reason they couldn't do the riff repeater very easily to be the same as guitar. Not sure if they'd do the same depth for technique challenges or mini games though - I kind of doubt they would do that as DLC.

I can't see them adding bass support as DLC; they'll have to post a major update, which may as well contain new minigames and technique challenges.

I could have sworn they said they would be doing it as DLC. I may be wrong though.

edit: I guess the songs would be DLC, but probably would need a patch update to work. Not sure how major it would be, the note recognition still works the same way, would just be searching for different frequencies. Anyway, my bet is on it not having bass mini-games and technique challenges until possibly Rocksmith 2.

So far I am really digging the game and especially getting to use my PRS. My little boy plays pro drums in RB. He is 6 and plays on Medium so RB3 will not be going anywhere soon. My dream would be implementation of this into RB. If it worked it would be some awesome. Also, it never felt right playing the plastic Fender in RB3. I may have to sell it.

I agree. I was pretty down on the set list but as I play it, I really am enjoying a lot of the different styles represented. And some older metal would be welcome. i'm up for some Judas Priest being added!

Just a curious question: what type of guitar is everyone using for this game? I'm using a Squier Jaguar that I got a pretty good deal on a few weeks before the game came out.

I'm actually pretty happy with the setlist. They have some really big names in there, so I feel like they'll have some good DLC selection too.

    Jackson RR5. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guita...lectric-guitar

If anyone's curious, I haven't used the SG G-310 Ubisoft sent me with the game at all. Just too lazy to change the strings to something chunkier.

Also, in regards to bass, the technology is good enough to recognize the frequencies, even that low. It would be relatively easy to implement as DLC.

    >Charts
    >Frequencies
    >Menu Option

    Bam, done.

More than anything, I want the B button to take me back to the previous menu where I was at, not where it wants me to be. Game, you're not my real dad.

I think that they'd have to implement 4 and 5 string note highways; of course they could just not use the 1st (purple) and/or 2nd (green) string for bass and leave it at that. They did state that they were working on bass but that it wouldn't be ready in time for launch; I wonder if the existing songs don't have charts for bass already. We'll see.

What all comes with this game? I happened to go into Gamestop today and I saw it behind the counter - it's as thick as a textbook!
