Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is not likely to ever happen. RB3 Pro Mode uses midi data and that is essentially what gets sent into RB3. The Rocksmith cable is just an A/D converter that digitizes the sound coming out of your guitar and the game uses really complicated math to analyze that sound to see if you are hitting the right notes. You could take that same cable and plug it into your computer and use it as a way to record your guitar.

Also, for the person who asked/thought Rocksmith could tell the difference between the same note played on two different strings: It can't. While it might be possible to use even more complicated math and analysis to tell the difference, it would likely take too long to do and add too much latency to the audio processing the game does. It already has enough to do.

Actually, you CAN use the Rocksmith Real Tone cable with Rock Band 3.

Have fun playing the vocal lines on your guitar.

Yeah, stems, not masters. My bad.

Not likely till RB4, if ever.

    That could be fun actually.

But if it works, it also confirms 2 things:
    1) That it is tech similar to what's in Mics
    2) Why the Wii can't use it (since they can only use a particular type of mic)

Can we use the RB3 Pro Guitar?

Can we use the RB3 Pro Squire guitar? I've tried looking at this thread for answers but I could not find it. Also if we can use the RB3 Guitar would I have to do adjustments of any sort? I am a new guitarist so I don't know much.

Took quite a while for me to qualify for the third performance - "In Bloom" was killing me.

Once I started getting the hang of the transitions from notes to chords, it started getting a lot simpler - I can honestly say in the last 3 days I've been playing it that I'm definitely getting better.

Yes, you can - although from what other people have stated, it might not be the best choice of guitar to use with Rocksmith.

Couldn't have "looked" very hard since every page in this thread from about 153 on has an average of about two comments per page regarding this very point, including two fairly lengthy ones from me in the last few pages.

I probably could have just answered the question directly here as well but I have a thing about people setting off my "BS Detector"....

So, I say to you, sir, "Look again."
