Alright, thanks again everyone for your input. I'll steer the topic back to Rocksmith.

So, after playing a song, I notice there is an 'event quality' bar, and then a much higher bar (I.E.: Event quality 22000, the higher bar 70000). What is the upper bar? I've gotten close to reaching it on Satisfaction.
On temporary hiatus from Rock Band. Too busy playing Rocksmith.

You'll get effect pedal for reaching 70 clams.

For those considering a LEs Paul (or similar) dont forget those are very heavy guitars and for a beginner may not be the most comfortable or easy to handle. Usually most beginners start with a Ibanez style or Fender Squier style first and since those are usually lighter, easier on your neck / back.
Make sure whatever you get it has to "fit" you and your size
Also some have super smooth necks and some are very hard to move your hand around due to the backs of the neck have coatings on them that actually slow you down to move your hands
It will be easier to move if it slides like "butter/glass"

Ciji's a really cool girl. I got to meet her when we all went to San Francisco to try out the game.

Her keeping track of her progress is an awesome, awesome idea. I'm glad she's doing it.

Can anyone confirm if you get extra points using a slide guitar technique on "Freebird"?

When you reach 70,000 on any song, you unlock the "authentic tone" for that song, which is the amp and pedal setup for that song.

This is not a game. But a digital instructor. People will play it a few times and give up on it because it requires work. Just like the gym. College. Or collecting Dr.Who collectibles.
    Want
    Radiohead (more)
    Savatage
    King Crimson
    Nelly Furtado
    Bob Dylan (more)

Funny, in the last week I've 'played' this almost as much as I 'played' RB3's pro-guitar in almost a year.
