Sales are pretty close between the 2 consoles, which is cool.

So anyone want to comment on songs now that we've been playing for a month or so? I hate the Jenny O song with a passion. Not crazy about Rapscallions either.

I love all the Black Keys songs but on Tighten Up the xxx789 chord is not cooperating. And either I'm good with barre chords or this game is really laid back on them. In Tighten up where you switch back and forth between barre chords I can get away with not changing chords. The main riff to I Got Mine is so badass.

The Nirvana songs are simple but fun to play. The Radiohead songs are awesome but Bodysnatchers sure is tough. I love Sunshine of Your Love, Panic Switch, Outshined, Vasoline, House of the Rising Sun. I love Use Somebody but the song hates me. I don't know why I'm having a hard time of the game picking up my chords for that song only. Best Coast, Red Fang, Boxer Rebellion, Interpol are growing on me.

As for my outside skill my wife flipped that I can play the riff to Sunshine of Your Love without the game. I can almost tune from Drop D to E and back by ear. I'm usually off by like -2. First position chords are easy for me. Same for power chords and I'm much faster on barre chords than like 2 months ago.

One other thing. I love warming up with the freestyle mode instead of plugging into the cheap amp I borrowed. I'll do some warm up exercises and then read some tabs for songs not in the game. I just gotta do a practice session with stuff like sweep picks, alt picks, etc. Awesome investment! Now all I need is an American Strat.

I KNEW I wasn't the only one having a problem with that chord.

I found the Jenny O. song difficult but I actually like the music enough to get it on iTunes. I also got High and Dry. I usually stick to songs I know when I play, like Free Bird, ...Satisfaction, House of the Rising Sun, the Nirvana songs, others of that ilk. I didn't like the QotSA song in RB1 but I dig playing it on real guitar.

Couple of my favorites to play are:
    - Ricochet: Once it's fully levelled it's really fun
    - Slither: So fun.
    - Are you gonna go my way: Love the bends in that one, haven't levelled the solo
    - A more perfect union: Not sure why, but I find the guitar fun in this one too
    - Sunshine of your love
    - Number Thirteen

I don't have fun playing the Islands song.

I'm now level 11, but I've realized that RSPs are basically useless since once you get to a certain point you can just keep getting RSPs for playing the same songs over again in a setlist. Lame.

So now I'm primarily trying to level as many songs as I can. I find some really easy ones hard to level, and some harder ones easier for some reason. The leveller seems to be more lax on power chords than it is for shorter single note runs.

In real life I'm not sure if I'm any better, but I'm definitely playing my electric guitar more than it's ever been played before

Bends. Yes you reminded me. Cannot get these to work. I can hear the bend and it sounds right. Not sure if it's me or the RB3 Squier.

I often feel that the game is trying to get me to bend more than I need to if you look at the string on the fretboard as the indicator to bend more/less. Depends on the song though. You can fret the higher note (i.e. not bend, but strike the higher note) and it will register if it's the right distance, so that can give you a sense if what the game is looking for is a 1/2 step, or single step etc.. bend.

I have trouble getting that chord to register too. Not sure what the deal is.
