I ended up having to cancel my pre-order before the game came out for various reasons, so I never got the game. But I agree with Doc... the $50 deal is great. I think I'm finally going to get it. I'm excited. I feel like I've been waiting to play this for so long...

Since I am playing as much as I am I decided to get a MIM Standard Strat to go with my Epi LP Standard. I already had a Squier but it was just not up to snuff for real guitar playing unfortunately.

I find it much more gratifying starting a collection of real guitars than the plastic ones. :P

I also find some interesting level of satisfaction is now having real guitars that were the basis of the first plastic ones I had. GH's LP and RB's Strat.
All I am offering is the truth... nothing more...

I wish there was a way to power up one section.

I'm playing Angela and there is one small section I'm having problems with.
Unfortunately the first time I played it I totally mangled that section.
So although I mastered (?) the rest of the song (which is pretty easy and very very repetitive), I had to play through the song 4-5 times just to get that last bit 'upgraded' (or whatever the term is).

It wouldn't be so bad if the rest of the song had some more variety so I didn't get tired of it.
Or if there was a way to skip to a different song on the event.

Choose: play song->angela->pick the arrangement->riff repeater->leveler-> pick the right section

For those of you who still want the game, also check out Amazon's Lightning Deals. It's $50 there right now. Just in case you didn't get it from one of the other stores that have it for $50 for Black Friday. I just got it that way.

One of the 4:15 (PST) video game lightning deal at Amazon is Rocksmith for Xbox and PS3 for $50. It's on as I type this, 36% claimed with 50 minutes to go. Go here and scroll the category to video games and click the right arrow a few time until you see it.

Ninja'd without realizing it--I didn't see jeccaneko's post. I'm glad that someone got one of them. They did not sell out, however. I don't know how many they had, but the deal expired with 41% unclaimed.

Yours had a link though, so given the time element it was still a good post
