I really need to invest in one those one of these days. They're much more convenient than the tuner I currently use.
It is not closed-minded to dislike something. It is, however, closed-minded to degrade something simply because you dislike it.

I'm going to get this. Hopefully it will get me interested in playing guitar again.

It'll be interesting to see the post-Christmas estimated sales numbers. VGChartz (I know, not the best source ) is estimating 280K units sold since launch (155K on Xbox, 125K on PS3). Not very encouraging, if at all close to the truth.

Or maybe they just couldn't get the PC version done on time.

No doubt--I just think it was a mistake not to make it a higher priority from the beginning. Given that they were launching in the US first with an indeterminate date for introduction elsewhere, I'd have made getting a PC version out a higher priority than either console; at least a higher priority than PS3. Though the PS3 is within a few million units of tying Xbox sales worldwide, it has only 60% the 360's market penetration in the US. Again, I'm second guessing professional marketers .

I'm sure they meant to meet that deadline, but there have been a ton of flaws/bugs posted about the game so far.

They have to figure out how they are going to prevent people from not paying for the game and eventually not even having to buy their cable.

Yeah, this thread is pretty much my Rocksmith forum, ironically. The developers did do a Q&A on Reddit and it was very productive.

That doesn't stop other developers (or really, themselves) /cynical_me

I've played a lot of RS the past few days over break. My fretting fingertips hurt and my pick-holding thumb and pointer finger are really sore. It's awesome. The highlight has been learning the opening riff to Sweet Home Alabama. Not a song I particularly like, but it's iconic.

The Cleartune app on my iPhone is better than the cheap Korg tuner I bought. Way more accurate. I tune with both the app and RS usually confirms.

I think the PS3 patch coming end of January is big news. Hopefully it fixes the freezing. Looking forward to the other patches. I wonder if it's too late to ask them to change the color of the fret numbers as sometimes it's hard to see which fret it is.
