I wonder if the Megadeth "pack" will actually be a pack in the same sense as Rock Band's packs, or if they are just calling it a pack for want of a label.

It is not closed-minded to dislike something. It is, however, closed-minded to degrade something simply because you dislike it.
Keyboard->PC->USB to MIDI adapter->MIDI Pro Adapter->Console
That's how I do it when I play pro keys with my Casio.
The RS devs confirmed in the discussions that the tuner used in between songs is much looser and less accurate. I'd double check your tuning in between songs with your own external one. They said the tuner in RS you access from the menu (down deep a few levels) is the accurate one that would be more in line with your external one.
Try both and compare the results.
I know the song 2 song one is very weak.

Also was thinking yesterday, would anyone be interested in just for the lulz to have a RB3 Pro DLC vs. Rocksmith DLC poll every 2 weeks?

EPIC WIN!!!!!!11111ONEONEUNOUNO!!
Yesterday was a great day. I saw this, Kenny Powers coming back in Feb, and I started working out again. If only PS3 DLC came at like 5am like 360 I'd schedule a dayoff right now.
I accept the challenge. See you in 10 years!
I'm cool with this but do we gotta start another thread? If so please link us. My vote is easily RB3 if comparing legacy charts as well for this week. I like 20th Century Boy on pro guitar in RB3, it's a really fun song. But I think because I like RS' implementation better it'll be hard for me to vote for RB3 in pro vs pro. I like Dream Theater and would've bought Under the Bridge a month ago before RS' release.
