No patch notes yet, of course, because it has to be kept a secret from the users. Based on what users are saying though, some of the nagging details in the game have been improved instead of fixed. There's an increased life count in riff repeater, but it's capped at 30 (no endless lives). You can adjust the speed for riff repeater in the pause menu, but you still get booted out when you hit 100% for the first time on the riff. You can change to the chromatic tuner from the useless "quick" tuner, but you are forced to tune before every event just as before.
That said, they said various crashes have been fixed and the menu navigation seems faster.
Sounds like things are improved enough to not be totally irritating.
They also supposedly sped up the load times between screens - supposedly just a second or so.
Once thing I haven't seen mentioned yet is if the 'lives left' jumps back up to 30 after you reach a new level in the leveler. It always pissed me off when I had one chance to get a new level right.
On further thought, I'd have to say, they fixed/adjusted a lot more in their patch than Harmonix has ever done in their patches. That's not a slam on harmonix, but kudos to the rocksmith folk. Their patch should really improve things a lot, even if it's not the ideal.

Tone fair to harmonix ubi had a lot more that needed fixing than rb ever has. Sounds I've some really good changes though. The booting out at 100% is just silly but I think there are going to be some better ways to practice now. Since you can set the level of mastery in the menu my practice will now probably be similar to what I do outside the game, set to 100% go into accelerator and play it slowly, gradually speeding up until I have nailed it
Posted with my iPad. Hence the bad spelling/grammar.
the RB3 patch that changed the highway opacity, added the back button for OD activations, and added BNS into practice mode is one of the greatest patches of all time.

Well played for an hour or so post patch and I love it. 30 lives in riff repeater is plenty, I was getting bored by the time I ran out of lives. Much easier to level stuff up now so I am happy with that alone. Menus are quicker and more intuitive as well. Just need bass now and I will be happy. Still mentions the new dlc of free bird etc on the front screen though!

Ah man didn't know the patch came out. And I had the PS3 on last night. Time to break out the RS.

Thx to Boshes_95 for the AV
Pls improve guitar pro for RB4. Any guitar, no mute, dynamic difficulty
arpeggio notation
practice speeds that only go down to 70%
XMB crashes
those are just a few things HMX hasn't patched over a year after the game was released (and at this point probably means they never will). i don't have RS yet so i don't know how buggy the game is/was, but those issues, added to the ones HMX DID fix in patches, it's obvious RB was rushed out with a lot of things that needed fixing, and a lot of things that still need to be fixed.
