I bet the detection is way off because of the fret wear. Not wanting to see that happen on my Squier. Might make it a collectors item after all and not play it.
    I bought a Fender Strat.

My RB3 Squier will just collect dust now. I don't think the frets are repairable/replaceable. I don't know for sure if the detection is worse. I haven't played RB3 in a while.

I also wanted to note that the fret wear isn't just from bending. When you fret a string and strum it, the string vibrates against the fret and wears in a little divot over time. You can see it in the pic in the middle of the fret. Apparently this takes years to do any noticeable damage with a normal guitar. But if you use the RB3 Squier with the mute engaged, you won't get the vibrating string against the fret, so it should last longer.

I'll be getting both, and will be praying that we get some more Nirvana songs. I the some of the Nirvana Unplugged songs would be great fun!

So, I just picked up the Pearl Jam songs today. They are really awesome even though I am not that great yet.

Something I noticed, however, is Jeremy is not censored. AT ALL. Not only is the sound byte in, the 'F' word is typed out in the lyrics. I hope this is a trend to be continued in music games, as I always thought there was a disclaimer on DLC that said it was unrated. I understand on-disc censorship, but why DLC censorship?

Not trying to retread topics already discussed in the general Rock Band forums, just wondering what everyone else thought.
On temporary hiatus from Rock Band. Too busy playing Rocksmith.

I think that when the morally outraged minority complain vociferously UBI will do what all other big corps do and back down and start censoring. I hope not though and applaud them for giving us the original music as intended

Considering that the majority of players seem to be between 30 and 50, I don't think censorship is as big a deal to Rocksmith as it is to Rock band.

What's your source for that statistic? I wouldn't expect small kids to be playing it, but I'd think that a game to help learn guitar would have appeal for tweens and their parents.

Just played them and rockband has a lot of catching up to do this month. Being able to play some of my favourite PJ songs and being able to hear it is so awesome. Black is fantastic the chord version is really easy but does not have a strumming pattern which is annoying but because of the way RS works you can make up your own and not be penalised for it. Got 99.8k on my second play through

Love it it feels much more like I am making music compare to rb where it feels like I am hitting the buttons. I can add emotion into my playing which is impossible in rb. That is why rb needs to learn lessons from RS.
