I just notice that Matt Rassmusen of Rose of Jericho did a review of RS 8 months ago. It's in 3 parts: Part 1 - The Game, Part 2 - RS As a Learning Tool, Part 3 - RB3 vs. RS and Final Thoughts. (I don't know how I didn't see this before; I'm subscribed to the roseofjerichoband YouTube channel).
Matt previously posted an excellent 3 part review of RB3 Pro Guitar and the Squier Guitar and Controller. His band, Rose of Jericho, has 9 songs in RBN and 6 published albums available on Amazon, iTunes and elsewhere.
EDIT: There are a few things he criticizes RS for which have changed since the review (5 lives and no control of difficulty in practice modes) but he's inserted little text pop-ups to state that those things have changed.

So I guess hair metal is the theme here.

hmmm.... seems like there'd be some better hair metal songs you could choose from than these.

Incredibly uninspired hair metal choices, but it's nice to see Twisted Sister, I guess.
