Henry did say they were working on Chili Peppers, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're available or licensed.

I would really cry if Californication will be released as Full Album DLC.
TO THE ULTIMATE SETLIST!
Back on topic: This games gets more interesting every day. I seriously hope that the lag would be 20 ms at max (if it's higher can't be tolerable on guitar rig).

everything i hear about rocksmith makes me more frustrated with this game AND with RB3. every piece of news or info about RS just confirms more and more that it's geared towards newbies learning the guitar. there's very little in this game that appeals to anyone who is already a decent guitar player. you don't need a game to learn songs and play them with your own guitar. the gameplay aspects of this game just don't look all that fun or appealing to experienced guitar players once the novelty of playing a video game with a guitar wears off, and forcing guitarists to start EVERY song at the lowest difficulty and level up will be very annoying and turn off a lot of good guitarists who won't want to be forced to play simplified charts, especially when you start getting into DLC. those little minigames designed to improve technique just seem silly, and useless to guitarists who already know how to play.
RB3 has the fun gameplay aspect down, but they made a very bad decision in deciding to go with the proprietary guitar from fender instead of allowing a standard electric guitar to be used the way rocksmith does. a couple of small compromises in gameplay is all it would have taken to enable RB3 to work with the rocksmith technology. they could still have built a proprietary guitar with fender that features some of the abilities a standard guitar wouldn't allow, like the real-time feedback on finger position when you hold down a string. but if you took the rocksmith technology and put it into a game with the content and gameplay excellence of RB3, then you'd really have a winner. i just hope, if HMX does go forward with an RB4 with pro modes, that they learn from rocksmith and from the fender discontinuation fiasco and figure out a way to make the game work with any guitar. then we'd have the best of both worlds.

The leveling up happens very quickly I saw it first hand on Saturday...

I played Radiohead, The Pixies, and a little bit of Outshined.
I was playing with headphones which probably fixed the latency issues people have. I might have to invest in a pair.
The first thing I had to do was tune the E string which was pretty much like tuning my guitar with Garageband.
It gives you the option of playing a song in rehearsal mode where you can choose to play with Chords, Just Single Notes, or Combo.
I picked combo and instantly started playing a very stripped down version of "High and Dry" that added more complex notes over time. The colour coded string system was pretty interesting to see in front of me and I started to remember that Green equaled B pretty quickly.
I know it sounds cheesy but I seriously felt like I was getting better at guitar while I was playing it.
The most fun I had was playing Where is My Mind by the Pixies I wish I didn't make dumb mistakes because I probably could have played that song on the highest level.
Another cool thing was two friends randomly showed up at the Rocksmith booth that I had been in a Metallica cover band with previously. One of them jumped right into "Go With The Flow" and got the highest score of the day.
I'm buying this game day one.
Oh and I saw an unannounced artist people will be interested in
