    Wow, that's lame.

Any calibration options to correct this?

I have X41's with an optical connection but its for COD and BF, not rocking the house!

Now, like the Funky One, I am too concerned.

The blue notes mean the 4th string and then you strum the 15th fret twice, then 12th and so on.
Hmmmm I still don't understand how to read the notes. Is there a video out that demostrates how it's done? The JPG you provided just looks like a jumbled mess to me lol

Exactly. Depending on how often/long you play and how varied your gameplay is, you'll learn chords, scales (with the Scale Runner mini-game), and yes, even songs.

For example, I never knew how to play this song before, but after a few hours playing Rocksmith, I did.

In case you missed it, this is David Meshow, a pretty awesome guitarist, having learned Red Fang's "Number Thirteen" by playing the game.

As far as extra hardware goes, you will need an electric guitar with a 1/4" jack and the Real Tone cable which comes included with your game purchase. That's all you need to play.

Yes, there are calibration options in-game to fix lag using an HDMI cable. They factored this in, but it's not recommended. I'll be doing videos and stuff starting tomorrow to make sure everyone is informed with set ups and optimal conditions with how to play.

And, of course, I'll be posting them here.

The David Meshow video is a great demonstration of how it looks incoming.

Looks interesting, but the setlist doesn't appeal to me. I'll wait for a price drop.

For lag free audio, surely the best option would be optical direct to your av receiver? Also I am guessing the timing window will be quite large to allow the software to convert the analog sound to digital info.

Yeah the timing window is pretty forgiving but still will penalize you if you are way off.

Also to tnevaker or whatever I confirmed today that "scalable difficulty" is indeed throughout the whole game. If you excel at one song then the next one you play will recognize that you don't need to start from "baby mode"

That's cool. On RB3 pro, I usually jump right into expert, since I play quite a bit of real guitar already. Nice to know I won't have to essentially do "easy" mode each song.

Anyway, any word on how frequent the DLC will be? I'm not sure yet if I'll buy songs that are already on RB3 pro mode, since I find that to be very well done, but it would be really cool to play the songs on any guitar.
