OK its Friday in China, post the rest of the setlist....

I'd say use an analog connection if possible for your audio and drop the optical connection for the game. Of course, you can always adjust the video for the game to better sync with the audio.

Unless there's a menu item somewhere in the PS3 setup menu to switch between optical and analog audio, I don't see myself switching the cord every time I play the game. Considering I use my PS3 for Blu-ray, DLNA music, DLNA movies, streaming Netflix and streaming audio, I am not going to switch over permanently to analog audio just for Rocksmith. I don't experience any lag issues with Rock Band like many do, so hopefully it won't be too bad with Rocksmith for the next couple months until the PC version comes out.

Interesting, and good to know. I guess if it came down to it, I could just run RCA to my tv and leave my receiver off for Rocksmith, but would be a shame to not be able to use a better sound-system.

I totally just splurged on a Turtle Beach headset and an RCA-HDMI thingy so I can enjoy this game more.
