Robocop got a very good DVD treatment a few years back, with the theatrical cut and the director's cut released in the same package for a 20th Anniversary edition. It pretty much trumps the Criterion disc, but I still don't want to part with mine. Actually the commentary tracks for the new discs are different from the Criterion disc, so it's arguably worth still keeping the Criterion edition for that reason.

I don't know about Robocop on Blu-ray from direct experience (would you believe I still haven't bought a player?), but from the reviews I've read, the editions released so far are pretty lacking.

Yeah, no real reason for me to double-dip, then. Besides, it's not the best-looking movie to begin with, and like you said, reviews of the blu-ray aren't that hot. I just checked this out on eBay and it's selling for like $30, so maybe it's not the collectable I thought it was.

Huh? My PS3 is either a flopped or is/was a difficult to find console? I had no problem finding it (but I admit, I no longer use the backwards game compatibility feature).

In my possession is a signed copy of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, signed on launch night. I was fortunate enough to win 4 tickets to the moonlight signing of that launch night, which may well be the biggest launch of a book ever to happen. So I got to meet the author JK Rowling, and obtain a true relic for the future in the process.

I've recently started collecting original comic book art, which I love for a number of reasons (larger format, seeing the details of the artist's work, owning a bigger piece of something that means a lot to me) including the fact that it's an individual work and not something off an assembly line.

In the last 2 years I've picked up about 40-50 pages of art from some of my favorite comics (Scott Pilgrim, New X Men, Captain America, Hellblazer, Preacher, Fantastic Four, Conan, Avengers, Justice League, Batman) and some of my favorite artists (Mike Zeck, John Byrne, Steve Dillon, John Cassaday, Kevin Maguire, John Buscema, George Perez). I feel great for buying direct from the artists when I'm able and I get a rad one of a kind piece of comic book history at the same time. I'm looking to put together a photo gallery soon and will update if / when I have pics.

What John Byrne art do you have, Henry? He was my absolute fave in the 80s.
