Interesting that Anything is $2 while Impulse was $1.

The band must have thought they could sell at $2. Didn't TAG say that they charge $1 unless the band tells them $2?

Yeah they didn't want to charge $2 on all of them but they wanted to know if it was better at $1 or $2 so they decided to price one at each price point to help determine which is the more beneficial price point (in terms of money generated and exposure).
