Ozone, for god sakes, stop being such an ego head. It is very true that you self promote like crazy, and are always implying that whatever you have going is the best thing to ever hit RBN in the history of time. Personally, it doesn't annoy me because you do come through sometimes. Sometimes do you over-hype things that don't deserve as much attention as you shoot their way? Yes, but not all the time. Zem is probably just frustrated by the way you carry yourself.
No disrespect to you, but you might want to think about the way that you promote, and maybe be more subtle, as not to disappoint people with high hopes.
Any decent business person will promote all their product as if it's the best thing in history. Separate Advertising intelligence with personal ego. How would you feel if a song you wrote was authored and the author promoted it with "well, it's not the /best/ thing ever, but you know, it's kinda cool, I guess."
Also, I feel like you may have just made a serious issue out of what was intended as a friendly-jab.
That's not the way Ozone promotes though. Its not like hes saying "Hey guys, we put out a cool new song!" Nonono, he always goes"OMG guys I just got the greatest band in the history of RBN and all other releases from other authors up to this point are terrible in comparison!" Hes very forceful in his promotion style, in a way that offends some people. As I said, it doesn't offend me, but it offends others.
Also, hes well known for taking things like this, joking or not, very personally. That reply did not look like a friendly jab, it looked like he was genuinely offended by it.
I like hype, I just don't go messing with reviews/ratings to try to make my products look better. I can say it's the best thing in the world myself, but that's my opinion. I'm not going to fake it and make it look like everyone shares that opinion if they don't.
Sorry if I can off rash, but I don't like it being implied I'm doing something underhanded. I'm not "the kind of guy who'd do that." I like to be transparent in my dealings, taking the good with the bad while doing that. I'm not trying to be a jerk.

*Re-reads Zems post*
*Realizes he was implying that Ozone was up voting his own songs*
Jeze man, that's not cool. Ozone doesn't roll like that. He will promote the crap out of his own songs, but he would never commit that kind of fraud, especially on some ratings site barely anyone cares about.
