The trainer to the left of Nugget Bridge in the grass needs to be unbeaten, as do the two trainers I mentioned. Pass the trainer on the left and catch an Abra, then save. Walk above him so he's just off the screen, then walk down and immediately open the menu. Teleport with Abra, and he should exclamation point after you pick it, but then you teleport away. Your menu is disabled, but you don't need it, just go to either trainer mentioned, fight them(have to make Slowpoke kid walk to you, if you don't make him move, your game crashes), beat them, then walk towards Nugget Bridge without another battle. At some point, your menu pops up, close it, and a level 7 Mew jumps out at you.

Wow, I never knew that. I always thought that they completely removed Mew from the game and it had something to do with that truck. Next time I give Blue or Red a play through I will have to give that a shot.

I do have Rare Candy, but no cheating. Only Mew since you can't get that in 2012.

It's not that I actually believe it, it's just that as a kid I never got to experience the wonder of going through these strange rumors myself. Everybody who played never really gossipped about strange rumors besides that if you beat the E4 100 times in Emerald, that white rock in Mosdeep will spurt out a Jirachi. That was it. In all my childhood, that was the only rumor about Pokemon I ever got to experience ;_;

It makes sense to me. It evolves into Kangaskhan and I always wondered why that little guy in her pouch was never its own pokemon.
