How about "being forthright" about the Wii version? Just sayin'...

As always, the technical limitations of the Wii system prevent us from releasing updates to our titles on that console.
I perform the greatest karaoke rendition of Born To Run that you'll ever hear. And that is no lie.

I'm just saying that Harmonix aren't the only people who "ignore" the Wii in favour of patching other consoles, so maybe it has more to do with the Wii's limitations and less to do with professional developers partaking in petty console wars.

Certain titles require a specific system menu or higher, so if it detects that you are at a lower version, you'll be prompted to update.

That is exactly how the statement comes across. There are a multitude of other wordings you could have used that would have reassured us that existing issues are planned-to-be-fixed, but the wording you chose implies there is no foreseeable plan to issue another patch at all. So at this point we can only hope something happens that changes what you foresee, because things look bleak from here.
So you are totally discounting the up-front and thoughtful post Pope posted in the other thread? This is why developers/companies/people don't tell us (consumers) what's going on. No matter how much they do or say, it's never good enough.

Don't know why Harmonix would announce no more patches. Rock Band 3 is an unpolished experience to say the least. Hope the PS3 crashing can be resolved server side. HINT.

Very annoyed at HMX's leaving a massive PS3 issue slip by without addressing it, AGAIN! First you had the shaky arrow in RB1 and 2 which they never could figure out why it was happening (Luckily doesn't happen in RB3), and now the XMB crash which is a MASSIVE problem goes unanswered. The fact that the game occasionally decides to kick you out so the game isn't playable is a huge issue which has no excuse to go unanswered for.

Also, not to mention that double harmonies in Ida Maria's "Oh My God" still won't register for double awesome on the 4th opportunity for double awesome, therefore leaving me unable to get the double harmony for every song and I can't get my goal completed. I understand they did fix a lot of issues, but there's some that couldv'e been avoided by a simple playtest, such as the "Oh My God" problem.
