Have any RBN Authors tried to get Japanese Artists/Bands?

Tribute band? They are the actual Final Fantasy composers - how can they be a tribute to their own music haha. I love Uematsu - a lot of the final fantasy music hasnt been the same without him but regardless of that i dont think any author has much hope of talking a massive company in Square Enix into licensing their music for a platform like Rock Band which doesnt exist to any degree in asia.

The one bit of hope that I heard somewhere is that Uematsu retains the rights to his own compositions, so SqEnix MIGHT not need to be involved. I could very easily be wrong.

From what the RBN authors told me, the best way to get these artists added are to contact them ourselves. I'm a fan as well and contacted Dir en grey I admit. They have a contact page on their site but I had a hard time using it but you might have better luck (I recommend giving it a shot since contacting bands on their sites I feel is the best way to reach them). But I managed to hit them up a message on their MySpace page!

Thought I tell you since I think the more fans that contact these bands the better because then they'll see how big RBN is & might join. Also if you contact them, give this link http://creators.rockband.com/ that way they can check out the RBN directly and add songs.

Spreading the word is also a good idea (which I'm doing now lol) as fans of other Japanese artists might also contact artists.

Cool, I also like the theme song from Maburaho And I LOVE Heart of Sword & T.M Revolution rocks! I'm also a fan of L'Arc~en~Ciel & PuffyAmiYumi. I haven't heard of Kalafina but like to check them out! Besides voting, I also recommend contacting these bands & artists like I have done (I mge over 50!) because the more people that contact these bands & artists and that vote (vote here http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=224776) , the better the chance that they will join. ^_^
