If it weren't the internet, I'd spit out my Cheerios. As it stands, there's worse things fans of stuff want.

All I can say is Sonic Fanbase. There, that's already beat.

To quote a certain red workhorse, "yyep." The internet will pair up anything that moves, and many things that don't.
    Weird Al Yankovich DLC please?

I wouldn't be surprised if a BigMacxSmarypants is in the works.

In the works? It aired almost nine hours ago. It's probably already been done!

Try telling that to all the weeaboos who describe themselves as otaku because it's trendy.

Yeah, the term's co-option in the West dulls the meaning. If they got to hang around some true Otaku - that is, people who let their obsession with a subculture consume every facet of their lives, spending so much money on it that they can't afford an apartment with a shower, a bath house, or even a laundromat - they might reconsider tossing that term around so much.

Then again, a friend of mine knew a respectable government official over there who considered himself an "otaku." In his case I think he had enough of a reputation to use it in a more jocular sense.

    Rant removed. Way too off-topic.

It is not closed-minded to dislike something. It is, however, closed-minded to degrade something simply because you dislike it.

    A Survey for my paper.

If you guys want to participate in a survey I'm planning to use for my paper, drop me a PM.

You can remain completely anonymous in my paper should you wish or if you want to use an alias (forum name or something else) for comparison purposes that's fine too.

The survey will likely be 10-20 Yes/No, Rate from 1-10, style questions, and maybe 1 single sentence question.

I took AP Statistics so I'm not planning on using your answers as a representative sample of the entire pony community, but more along the lines of personal perspective.

Your answers won't be shared with anyone else here on the forums, and the survey will be administered via PM as well. All who are interested are welcome.
