Based on the last few posts here, I watched the full episode of Winter Wrap up on youtube. (they have it in HD).

I'm still missing what has made this show such a phenomenon. It's cute and all, but compared to some other kid's cartoons (like Phineas and Pherb) it's just really not that funny or even clever.

I'm honestly not trying to rain on any parades here. I hate people that come into threads and put down the thing everyone is raving about. I want to -get it- when it comes to this show because it's so popular right now.

Anyway, not disparaging the fans, but whatever the hook is for MLP I must be immune.

It's fine; you're definitely not coming off as a hater, and your attempts at appreciating it are...well, appreciated. Sometimes I wonder exactly what it is I like about it, and there's no specific tangible quality I can attest to--it just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy afterward.

(Also, I wasn't referring to the Winter Wrap-Up episode so much as the song itself when I was praising the quality. Not that I remember anything bad about WWU the episode, just WWU the song really stands out compositionally.)

I actually didn't like Winter Wrap Up all that much.

Boast Busters (1/6) and especially Feeling Pinky Keen (1/15) were the ones that really got me to decide that I actually like the show.
