Article on the making of The Beatles:Rock Band

I know this is an old enough article, but it's part of my notes for a module in my Computer Engineering course, and thought someone else might be interested in it too :

It might let some people to understand more about why there has been no DLC is ages, it's a tough process, especially with earlier songs.

Well, I understand that it's hard enough to license and process the songs. We just hope HMX at some point in the future takes the time to do it.

    Hey robbie, soup, and smap!

Hey guys! The beginning of the Beatles sub-forum has begun. We have some plans up our sleeve, which we will be announcing in the near future.

I'd think that if this guy didn't appear to be anyone else but a "normal" poster. I have no idea who he is or what would even make him say that.

Anyway, that article does give a bit more insight into how long it took to do songs, but it doesn't mean anything in terms of waiting for DLC. Not EVERY album in their catalog would require that kind of care, the later albums have more separation in the tracks. I don't doubt that any album before Rubber Soul is probably out of the question, but that still leaves a lot of music out there.

I obviously hope there is more, but honestly at this point it would be weird if they DID continue the project. It's just been so long. But I continue to hold out the dumb hope that there will be more because of 1) Rock Band 3 being their big project in between and 2) the fact that they were going through an acquisition. I just wish they would definitively say one way or another "No there won't be any more" or "Beatles Rock Band DLC is still something we have on our radar as a potential release."

Sometimes slow and steady wins the race in a quick to forget world of Now and What's Next. I don't think it'd be weird at all, who cares how long it has been? It's still the best of what it is and might be prudent to wait some time so that any updates are done in the most righteous way.
