I did a quick search and didn't find anything, but is this song a little messed up on expert guitar?
The timing seems to go out and makes you miss notes on a specific part of the song that gets repeated a couple times.

It's a relatively slow song so it's not hard to play and keep time, and it felt weird when I started missing notes on those sections.

I asked my brother and he remembers having the same issue when he tried it also.

Is this a known issue?

I never noticed anything like this. The best suggestion I could give is to make sure you're calibrated properly.
