Post songs you got recently and what you thought if them.

The main purpose of this thread is to share what songs you may have gotten recently and what you thought of them (on guitar, that is).

    Songs I got yesterday are:

Allen Jackson - Good Time - Really fun, and I like the alt-charting. Sounds good for country

No Doubt - It's My Life - I loved this song in the early 2000's. It's easy, but still fun to listen to.

Mastodon - Blood and Thunder - Really fun on guitar, and it sounds badass.

Jimi Hendrix - Fire (Life) - A great challenge, and I like this version of this song the best.

Testament - More Than Meets the Eye - It's a treat for metalheads, for it is challenging and just so hardcore.

Rishloo - River of Glass - This is my favorite purchase. I am so glad these kind of bands are available due to RBN allowing users to bring on any band they have rights to. It sounds freaking sweet, and is really fun. Reminds me of Tool a bit.

Keith Urban - Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go) - While challenging, it's not that fun. It's a nice tune, though.

Paul McCartney and Wings - Band on the Run - My favorite Paul McCartney W/O Beatles tracks ever, so how could I not get this one? It's more fun here than on GH:WT, and it's still a great song.

Jukebox the Ghost - Half Crazy - This song is so catchy! All I want to do right now is sing the chorus! Oh, and it's surprisingly fun on guitar, too.

At The Gates - Blinded by Fear - See More Than Meets the Eye.

Pantara - Suicide Note Pt. II - While it's fun to listen to for people that like chaotic metal (like me), it's not all that fun on guitar, due to abnormal patterns and fast strumming (see the Great Southern Trendkill album for more of this).

Johnathan Coulton - Re: Your Brains - I got this because people say that JC is great, and the preview reminded me of Weird Al's "The Night Santa Went Crazy" for two seconds. Now I want to play Resident Evil 4 while singing this and Half Crazy.

Tom Petty - Running Down a Dream - Another childhood favorite, I just had to get this. It's fun on guitar, and it's still fun to listen to.

Creedence Clearwater Revival - Up Around the Bend - My favorite CCR song for some reason, of coarse I like the sound! And it's like Band on the Run with fun factor.

Queen - We Are the Champions (RB3 Edition) - I never got Lego Rock Band, so I got this song instead. It's surprisingly fun, and I just love the vocals to this.

Spinal Tap - Stonehenge - This song makes me want to play Monkey Island so bad! The Acoustic solo was fun and was just random. Love it, just for it's zaniness.

    That's it for me.

Dragonforce songs are insane on guitar and drums, I am getting like 4.99 stars on OGaP guitar

The last DLC I remember getting was the last NIN pack as well as Black Magic Woman and TTFAF.

BMW is all right on guitar. Never tried bass. Drums are wtf, but I can do them. Keyboard was cool. Vocals were a little difficult for me.

TTFAF goes without saying on guitar. I could never even pass it in GH3. :/ Never tried bass. Drums...are hard. The only drum song I have that I cannot pass (well, there's also Prequel to the Sequel but I can pass it on random occasions). Keyboard was lolwut. Vocals are awesome to play.

NIN pack wasn't great on guitar (but I expected that). Seriously though, there was nothing else that they could have charted to the guitar part on Terrible Lie? Oh well. Bass was meh. Drums was cool. Keyboard was cool. Vocals was good on all of them. Plus, getting this pack prompted me to go and buy the remastered Pretty Hate Machine, and it was worth it.

I'd have the two live KISS songs and possibly Blue Monday by now but PSN being down... >:U

I actually bought a really good variety of tracks today. So far I've only had a chance to play these songs on guitar (except The Only Time which I played on bass, for obvious reasons).

Nine Inch Nails Pretty Hate Pack 01 - I'm mostly a guitarist, and knew that this really wasn't a pack for guitarists, hence why I held off on it for a while. If you're a drummer, or a keyboardist, or even a bassist, this is probably a pretty good pack. If you're EXCLUSIVELY a guitarist I really can't recommend this as an entire pack unless you play with others and are a massive NIN fan as one of The Only Time doesn't even have a guitar track and Terrible Lie is...well, on guitar it's basically like Polly is on drums. Sanctified and Head Like a Hole are decent at best for guitar. That being said, I still enjoy the songs a lot, and I like having easy songs I enjoy in the game to sort of balance out my library since I tend to enjoy music which skews more toward's the difficult side. Gave the entire pack 4 lighters.

Beat Fly - Tiny Danza - I HIGHLY recommend this for anyone who can at least stomach hip-hop and is looking to add some variety to their library. Sounds like a great duet part for harmonies and the guitar part is really fun and has a pretty sweet solo to boot. 5 lighters.

Dodgin Bullets - Steve Fister - Really got excited when I saw this one in the store as I really liked Zig Zag Talk by him. Keep in mind it's an instrumental. Great bluesy rock song. Another great track to add some variety to your library. If you're a guitarist, buy it. Just do. 5 lighters.

River of Glass - Rishloo - Not my favorite purchase of this set of buys, but it's a good prog song. Definitely a good buy. 4 lighters.

Dawn of the Condoms - Ultra Saturday - I'm not a fan of Ultra Saturday, though I acknowledge and respect that they're a band that strongly supports the RBN that a lot of people seem to enjoy. I bought this after seeing a gameplay video of it from the band, and admittedly I bought it mostly for the lolztastic lyrics. The guitar track is fun though and keys look really fun as well. The song really is pretty good as well. The song itself is probably worth a strong 3 for me, but the chart, along with the good keys part and lyrics push it to 4 lighters.

Really happy with my purchases today. It's rare to get that much variety.

I'm a PS3 user. I haven't downloaded anything recently. I will download Stan Bush's "Till All Are One" when the network comes back up though (as well as From Out Of Nowhere, Everybody's Working for the Weekend, and the Ayreon RBN track.

My most recent buy was Constant Motion, which I kinda regret. It's just too difficult for me, and not in a fun way either (I find Panic Attack also difficult but a lot more fun even in failure). Before that "More Than a Feeling", which is fantastic, and Nirvana Pack 02, which I got more for party play than personal preference.

    Loren Dircks - "I Hope You're Happy"

    You big, fat Pokémon!

I didn't think there was a sharp spot for country.
