Ronnie James Dio and Rock Band 3

I just got done playing a 30 song set on rock band 3. My fingers hurt and I'm exhausted and I couldn't be happier.

Thank you staff of Rock band 3 for penetrating my life in a way that goes above an beyond what any simple video game could accomplish.

    Now for my point.

After my 30 song triathlon on RB3 I got to thinking of Dio, and then went to his website and was reading the forum.

Mr. Dio did soooo much for so many of us, in a deep musical way, similar to what RB3 three has done as well, but in a diff way. I really hope that there's plans on doing, the Heaven and Hell album in tribute to Ronnie James Dio. That would be sooo right in so many ways. It would tribute an amazing man who never ceased to give his fans his magic, and it would give all us aspiring musicians a chance to take part in the magic of some of the most classic and amazing songs ever.

Neon Knights, Children of the Sea, Lady Evil, Heaven and Hell, Wishing Well, Die Young, Walk Away and Lonely is the world.

    Thank you, RB3 Fan Forever!!!!

Some Heaven and Hell would be super awesome. Mob Rules and even stuff from their newest album I would love.

    But, more Ozzy comes first
8/9/11 (Def Leppard) will be marked as the best day in RB history for me. HMX, major thanks for all this amazing DLC you put out!

Its the wrong forum, but this is nice.

The post-death Dio threads made it seem like a cash-in, this is making it sound like an awesome tribute.

I agree, we need more Dio

Was it, that at the end credits in RB3 it said "R.I.P. RJD", as in Ronnie James Dio?

I would prefer he didn't. I'm sure you can get in touch with him in private if you want the skinny on how HMX got down.

I bet they bought him breakfast the next morning.

Before we get Heaven and Hell by Black Sabbath, it might be worth talking about the amazing music that Dio did with his own band. I'm sure HMX knows what incredible musician and person he was, and if the licensing process works, along with having good masters of his songs, I'm sure we will see some Dio tracks (or is it just a blind hope?).

When I was shaking Ronnie's hand here is Los Angeles back in 2007, I couldn't even begin to think that he would be gone in just a few short years. I feel very fortunate to have seen him Live with his band as well as Heaven and Hell several times.
