Wow, kind of shocked that there's only 3 Gaga tracks and that there is no "Judas" or "Telephone" or RB3 Version for any of the songs previously released. Ah well, 3 tracks is better than none.

Bring on Gaga pack 3, 4, 5, etc. HMX!

Surprised by the addition of Foreigner singles. A bit shocked there isn't a RB3 version for "Feels Like The First Time" or the original version of "Jukebox Hero" thrown into the mix to make it a nice round week.

Either way, good week of songs that should be fun all around.

May 20th, 2012: 4 long years since HMX released "Hysteria" by Muse. The wait for more Muse DLC has to end at some point, right?

I'm also a bit underwhelmed with the Gaga pack selection (I can't stop listening to Judas! And I was really hoping with the release of her new album going along with her new RB DLC, there would at least be two or three singles from the new album...) BUT, any Gaga is good Gaga. I've wanted Paparazzi since I can remember, that'll be fun to sing harmonies to with a friend.
And I can't say anything against Foreigner. Their previous RB songs are all fun, so I'm sure I'll like these 2 too.

When will we get RB3 versions of Boston and Kansas?? I'm dying to play pro keys on Boston, and pro guitar on Kansas would be awesome. I kinda hoped Gaga would be the only artist released next week in a 5 singles pack, along with legacy upgrades/RB3 versions of older stuff since obviously Lady Gaga wouldn't be having any pro upgrades... hahaha

All 3 Gaga songs rock, I wish we had some Beyonce, but at least it means SeymourDuncan17 won't get arrested for slapping anyone....
I actually relistened to Urgent and am really looking forward to it. I probably just listened to it in a bad mood lol.

And who says I'd be arrested? I'm very discrete with my pimp-slappin'. They wouldn't even know what hit 'em!
8/9/11 (Def Leppard) will be marked as the best day in RB history for me. HMX, major thanks for all this amazing DLC you put out!

To balance the moaners, I for one am perfectly happy with the Lady Gaga selection... Thankyou!

Where charted, wind instruments have been consistently been given to Keys since RB3 (anyone notice any exceptions?) so I'd be very surprised if that wasn't down as a Keys solo.

    Goodie.

(Personally, the Keys solo I'm yearning for is the vocal->synth handover in the middle of Robyn's Call Your Girlfriend).

    You're in the minority.

I know that there are people in the community who would love to see the previous Gaga songs upgraded for RB3 so that the synths that were originally charted to guitar get moved to keys and that there are harmonies charted for the background vocals.

Sucks too, she has WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better songs than Lovegame. They could've done a much better job with the pack.
Charted hits do sell better than deep album cuts.

What sucks is that good songs (game play wise) for Rock Band like "Speechless", "The Fame" and "Electric Chapel" get passed over in favor of the singles. Personally, I was hoping they'd release one or two of her songs that uses real guitar, bass and drums to shut up some of the more vocal detractors on the forums about how she's not "Rock" enough for the game.

But, for the most part, yeah, it looks like HMX can release Pro guitar/bass upgrades to legacy songs, which is great!
If a song really, and I can't stress really enough, would gain something gameplay wise from a RB3 Version, it would be cool for HMX to upgrade it that way.

However, if a song does not contain any sort of keys or harmonies/backing vocals (which a number in the back catalog of DLC do), I like that HMX is just releasing the Pro Guitar/Bass upgrades, like they're doing with the two songs this week and have done before.

Thanks for including some variety to offset Gaga. I'll be picking up the two Foreigner songs.

The ongoing streak of at least one track I want each week since Bob Marley continues. I can't wait for the PSN store to return so I can actually start purchasing songs again.
    PSN/Live Jasonofindy
    Chuck Berry/Jerry Lee Lewis/Buddy Holly
    Guns N Roses
    Springsteen
    Van Halen
    Sammy Hagar Mas Tequila

Both Lady Gaga packs have left me satisfied as well as unsatisfied.

    Lady Gaga Pack 01:
All great choices but no Paparazzi or Telephone.

    Lady Gaga Pack 02:
Love all the songs but no Judas, Alejandro, or Telephone. Brown Eyes would also be nice but I'm sure they won't ever put that since it's a much slower song with not much going for it besides the singing and piano.

Foreigner is probably in my top 15 bands of all time, but I am passing on the 2 choices, not my favs and I was tired of "Urgent" before the album actually was released back in the day because they played that song over and over again on the radio since Urgent was the 1st single off of Foreigner 4. As much as I hate to admit it, Gaga deserved AT Least a 6 pack, just as Foreigner should have had more than 2 songs as DLC....
I don't think you understand how this thing works. It doesn't matter how "deserving" a band is. It's entirely about what can be licensed and charted. If HMX had more songs from either, they most likely would've released them.
    Required DLC;
    Birds of Tokyo
    Children Collide
    We Are Scientists
    The Wombats
    Art Vs. Science
    (more) Muse

I realize that there are some songs that some people would like, and I obviously realize that they've done it in the past.

I was saying that with all the talk about how much rb3 versions of Gaga are wanted, and how well Gaga sold, that if she didn't recieve any rb3 versions then it was safe to say that rb3 versions are dead. Of course you can never say never. If HMXHenry posted right after me and said never, he could still be wrong at some point down the road if opinions change.

Unless something drastic changes, this has solidified my belief that its pointless to request rb3 versions at this time.

I pictured something more like what happened to Dave Grohl, but not bon jovi: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILvkEHQPHHg

PS everyone asking for RB3 gaga versions, try bass and guitar on keyboards for the legacy tracks, like the Depeche Mode bass tracks they are mad fun to play even with only five keys.
Waiting for Depeche Mode, Patti Smith, Pavement, Public Enemy & more Rolling Stones. I have 2,000+ songs!
