HMX should continue to announce the whole upcoming months main DLC bands

Why did they announce Snoop Dogg so early? It was like 18 months before it came out. Harmonix always breaks my heart with their failed promises (Pearl Jam Rock Band, Who's Next, Rock Band Japan)

Not to mention songs spanning Metallica's career.

I love the prediction/baseless speculation thread. I've found many artist I didn't knew before.

I utterly and totally can't stand it, because it always devolves into an excuse to post Ultimate Setlist material in the main board.

I think having the biggest artist of a given week known ahead of time is cool. Of course, because we only know one artist in a given week, I don't view it as an either/or situation with the Friday announcement.

HMX should continue to announce DLC as they see fit. They should not follow the whims of some internet whiner that thinks they know all there is to know about business. It's HMX's product, they know more about the market than I ever could. It would be extremely foolish of me to tell them they're business. Of course, the internet is full of geniuses that know everything about everything and aren't afraid to let you know it.

From my perspective, the collective input from users offers a huge amount of useful input. You might have to wade through a lot of uninformed drivel to find it....but if you're not into that, again...why are you here?

I kind of prefer weeks were we have information on what's coming in the next week or 2 from outside sources that other people stumble across and post here in the prediction thread. With no official confirmation until the Friday announcement.

We have songs from 4 albums out of their 5 only worthwhile albums, so they fulfilled their promise.

I mean, hell, you called the Friday announcements random, and I can't even think of why? Because you're pissy that's how it happens 90% of the time? Because every Friday morning at 9AM CST relating to the following Tuesday's DLC is hardly 'random'. It'd be like calling their releases sporadic.

It's NOT semantics, it's statistics. Using words like 'unexcited', 'clueless', and 'random' are ALL instances of biasing the responses. You'll notice the words are examples from both options, so hopefully you'll realize your 'baaaw opinions' response was pointless at best.

A proper way of doing it would simply be asking yes or no(no need to caps one and not the other) and not saying your opinion in the OP.

I think they should continue how they're dong it now. Tell us a few of the big name artists but leave the songs and other artists secret. But at the same time I really wouldn't mind if they continued to do the usual Friday announcements. Just as long as they don't tell us every artist and every song for the next month at the same time. Because that would be boring and there would be nothing to look forward to for a while if you didn't like any of the songs.

And as a sidenote, I have a feeling we might get a shedule similar to what happened this month in June. I mean, considering it's E3 and all and HMX said there won't be a new RB game this year. They gotta announce something RB related, and I'm guessing it's gonna be DLC. Plus, they always seem to have a big-name artist have a huge pack during the summer (Ex: The Who, Iron Maiden, CCR). I expect that to continue this year (my guess, Elton John or Jimi Hendrix). And I just realized I sort of got off topic so I digress...
