Fender Squier current status & availability - IMPORTANT INFO - HMX update to OP 6/27

Dammit that is disturbing news. A friend ordered one a few weeks ago, and was told the same thing by the retailer (the only Authorized fender repair shop/dealer in 250 miles) that he will get his Rock Band Squier, but after that Fender is not producing them any more...

Also the price has dropped on the RB 3 software, and it seems all stores are letting stock disappear. Now shelves, and online searches at (at least my Canadian) retailers are comping up empty... like the game is slowly disappearing.

I wonder how much of these issues, if any, are being caused by the army of lawyers at MTV Games. 'Cause you know they have to be involved.

Lets all keep our fingers crossed, and still have fun playing the game. Invite friends over have a RB party... lets old school, grass roots, advert this ***** back into a viable money making game. Make it fun. Introduce all your friends to it, have a few laughs and rock the house down.... enough people call Fender and say WTF, might re-open their eyes.

Making things up? Our Best Buy got 14 total, 11 got returned as faulty. This is 1 store.....in a very small city.

It really doesn't matter what anyone "thinks" anymore, the fact is it's discontinued.

MTV Games were the sole publisher at time of release or RB3, and sold them since.... they are still gonna want a piece of the action,(always the case with lawyers involved)((watch the RB3 credits and there are more lawyers at MTV Games than PR people)) although thankfully, according to HMX, recently all the DLC is their own now. (SO for the love of all that is Holy and RB, buy the current DLC)

trust me...I've never been a chicken little on these forums but for the first time I really am concerned that we might have seen the last disc. just seems all the signs are pointing in that direction...if you have a counter argument please explain yourself because I am just going to ignore the sarcasm.(arguing and being sarcastic on the internet with people that hide behind fake names is not something I chose to be involved in...although I will discuss subjects as an adult occasionally)

Alright HMX, it's time to get back to reality. Ditch your loyalty to Fender as Fender ditched its loyalty to you. You lost EA's loyalty as well. Nobody is loyal in big money industries. Turn to another brand and work something out. As mentioned earlier, Yamaha would be a good choice. Gibson/Epiphone would be great, especially being a polar opposite competitor to Fender. Show Fender that its guitar's failure is due to their own manufacturing and marketing incompetence, and rub it in their face when Gibson makes a cheap, successful Epiphone Pro guitar.

MTV Games still owned Harmonix at the time of RB3's publication, so of course you're going to see their staff and logos all over the credits. There may well be an arrangement that allows Viacom to get something from continuing sales of RB products, at least up through RB3.

I'm not sure how that would encourage MTV's lawyers to sabotage the Squier, or do anything else to hurt sales of the game, especially if they are in fact still getting a piece of the pie.

How is that FACT. I just said few pages ago that my best buy in town has available AND will ship to store many within 20 miles. You're wrong. I'd believe HMX over random idiots on the internet.

For those in the U.S. (or willing to come to the U.S. for pick up), I'd suggest ordering from Best Buy ASAP--Squier® - Rock Band 3 Game Guitar - Black Model: 348000506 SKU: 1601028. It is still listed. There is in-store stock showing in my area. You can order for delivery to a store of your choice. This probably isn't going to be the case for much longer.
