I have the Rock Pedal from www.rockpedal.com. It works great and has survived beatings from my niece stomping on it. It is really accurate too. I would recommend it if you are willing to fork out the cash. Others have used the Destroyer pedal with success as well.

Good idea not to by from Rockbandparts.com !!! What are you looking for in a pedal? A real pedal and pad set or something simpler? Keep an eye on Ebay I just got a kick pedal and Pintech K3 for $37 with shipping and a Roadie Kickbox for $25. For $62 I'm all set!

The Rock Pedal looks good but is very expensive for what it is. It used to be a good deal at $70 bucks but one day it inexplicably doubled to $140 and it's been there ever since. Build up a good reputation and positive reviews on amazon then jack up the price, kind of sleazy if you ask me.

Kickbox would be a good idea, or if you are up for it you could buy the pedal and electronics to make your own, cheaper anyway.

I have a kd-8(bought off ebay used) with a kick box(bought new from their site) and a stock pedal from a cheap beginers Kit (returned from a cheap set I got back from my nephew when he was 5, I gave it to him to annoy his parents). Been using it for over 2 years with no issues. Im sure that setup would cost you less than what Rock Pedal is charging. There is no value at 140.00 for that. Hell 70ish was probally borderline.

Oh wow, I had no idea. They don't ship new pedals outside of the US anymore by the looks of it too. That sucks, so much for double bass for me.

I know its the total opposite direction your going, but the stock RB pedal is better than the hi-hat pedal they try to pass off as a bass pedal on the Ion's. I just used one of the 1/4" adapters and plugged it in directly. I spent a lot of time on that pedal and it works fine for me.

I built my own out of a P 900. It's a little work, but you can us whatever pedal you want.

Or use a pad and kick box.
