    Sound Issues-PS3

I've had to use an alternate TV since my other one crapped out. Every time I play a song on RB3 now as soon as the drum track starts it cuts the volume down by half. Does the exact same thing for BR movies too. Selection menu's are not affected Wasn't doing this before with my other TV. Still using HDMI cable as before, tried changing a bunch of different sound settings between TV, PS3, and RB3 but nothing seems to work. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thx

Yeah, if the same issue is happening with other sources, then the problem is likely a cable or speaker issue.

Make sure they're properly connected/seated. You may need to replace the cables themselves.

K thanks I have another HDMI cable to try. I'm just using the TV speakers on this one while the other TV has receiver, surround speakers etc idk if that makes a difference or not. If this other cable doesn't "fix" the problem any other suggestions?

    Get a new TV.

You've switched TVs and now doing stuff on the new one has problems. If it's not the cables then that narrows down the suspect devices quite a bit. If you're sure all the settings for both the console and TV are correct, there isn't anything anybody can do.

One thing to check is to see if your TV has an "auto volume" kind of feature, and if it does, turn it off.

Yep, it's designed to lower the volume of obnoxious commercials!

It does for HDMI#1 turned it to digital instead of auto still makes no difference. I guess I will just have to deal with it for another week or so til my bulb comes in for my other tv. Thanks for the help tho.
