I play Rock Band on the Xbox or Wii, but I wanted to fill out this poll anyway.
As for your complaints about getting the cymbals, that's the RB2 cymbals, pre-pro mode.

ZERO blind people have asked for it. It's been you and that other guy, who can both see. It's a bit sad that your best argument is putting words in the mouths of a pathetically small subset of players(players, drum players, blind players, blind players that play on Expert), and even more-so that you continue to say it like it holds any weight compared to the sales comparisons between single and double bass versions of songs, Harmonix extra licensing time/costs, and less content on a week-to-week basis due to having to submit two versions of 2x bass songs through official channels.
Witticus: "GeeNef speaks to me like schizophrenia, his words touch me where my priest could reach."
GNF, I thought you were altruistic. I am gravely disappointed. A pox on you and your children.
Why is it that GNF gets called a troll when he's here making sound, coherant arguments and you guys are not even addressing questions he's directed at you and seem content at basically mocking him. Refering to dansolo mostly, but you as well henrybullowick.
No matter how you spin it, he's absolutely correct, championing for the blind expert rock band drummers is not only off-topic but irrelevant as yellow, blue, and green pads can be any number of different types of drums/cymbals.
Also, how can you, henrybullowick, say that using a second bass pedal to emulate the other half of double bass charts in a single bass chart "wouldn't be the same." Yet expect people who don't have a second pedal play a 2x bass chart? Okay, so you never said you expected it, but you do seem to think it's okay that people with a single pedal either not play, or even be able to play, the song. Or buy the extra hardware just to support the track.
It's a basic set of equations that explains my point:
2x chart + 1 pedal = unplayable
1x chart + 2 pedals = playable
Again I have to reference pro modes. If HMX designed the RB3 tracks to require the pro modes to even play the song, basically forcing anyone who wants to play to purchase hardware rather than it being a choice. They'd be a lot worse off for it.

Why would anyone think GNF is a troll, double bass on ps3 is an important part of his Rock Band experience. He would never mock someone just to mock them, right.

I find it ironic that his "unjustified" arguments make a hell of a lot more sense than yours, which have at one point tried to add the blind expert drummer demographic and now mocking him simply because you feel he has no right to this discussion.
We've all been guilty of trolling at some point, whether it's been on an internet forum, or just to our RL friends who can't see an obvious truth in front of their face. But when I stated my previous post, I was referring to the confines of this discussion. GNF has made sound arguments and apparently you don't feel the need to address them any longer.
I did note that you didn't address the part of my post that's actually relevant to the discussion. I wasn't surprised.
The problem with that, which has been stated earlier, is you can't get a basis for comparison if you don't release it's single file counterpart. How do we know if a song which sells 200 2x-bass sales on a PS3 ported song is any good unless we can match that figure against how many of the single bass sales the song got on PS3.This is probably the best response here, though I would add a condition that I'd prefer not to "double up" on any song that has already been released in "lesser" form, since there is that 5-song-per-week limit, and there are more than 5 songs being released every week on the 360.
The only way to "accurately" find out via the players wallet is to release both tracks, which the majority of the people seem to feel is a bad idea considering the five song a week limit the PS3 currently has; myself included.

The end result is, in a hypothetical situation where all 62 standard and 2x Bass songs were available for the PS3, they'd be averaging about 70 drum-based sales per 2x Bass song on the Playstation. Not a particularly large or profitable demographic.
Really, though, shouldn't you be bringing the song charters into this? You need to convince THEM that they should release a (2x Bass) version. Even if Harmonix is willing to let it happen, you need to find a charter with a band willing to take a potential decrease in sales to test the market and prove that numbers aren't everything.
Peridot has the best response here...gnf and that other guy who brought me up only to insult me, have not made "great" arguements. Yes, they have mentioned questions to consider but theres nothing bad or wrong with bringing x2 bass to ps3. they brought it to 360 and are thinkin of bringing it to us so apperently quite a few want it. Sorry dan but the blind or deaf part is lame lol even tho I support u wantin x2 bass. And yes hmx/releasers/game controller makers w/e only want our money. Sad fact, I would be the same and so would everyone else(if u say no u are a liar) we want x2 bass as the poll results reveal
