I'm curious to know when Harmonix decided you were the one who determines what it is that makes up an expert drum chart.

Or is it that you're saying Harmonix is wrong, and that your definition of an expert drum chart is more accurate?

Exactly and that is a possibility if things don't change (even though I have never liked Microsoft). That way I can play Dance Central and full RBN as well. Nevermind, now that I think about it I don't like that you have to pay to play online. That's better than not having full bass charts.

I never said HMX agreed with me, but I think they understand what I mean.

Allright, since I'm getting a lot of hate here, let me try and explain better. Pretend you're ready to play Rock Band with your double pedals and you start playing your favorite song. As you play you can hear the second pedal being played but there are no notes to represent what you are hearing being played in the song. This really takes you out of the experience since you have to focus on the screen to determine which bass notes you are supposed to be playing, often times I try to play along from memory without looking at the screen. There is even a mode created by HMX for this in order to help learn the songs in real life. It forces you to play not what you are hearing in the song.
A solution for this would be for HMX to remove those bass kick sounds that are not charted from the song so that what you are playing is what you are hearing. Now you may think to yourself, wow, that is tampering with someone else's creative liberty and that is terrible and I would agree with you. To a lesser extent that is what I feel is going on when I play a song that is only half chartered for the bass drum. No one has to agree with this but I believe I have the right to state my opinion.

    Try the math again:
    Pro 2X: 17
    Anti 2X: 28
    Neutral: 6
    Irrelevant: 17

You have to add both the "I play expert" and the "I don't play expert" together.

And again, this is the best of the best, the fanatics. The regular buying public isn't represented here. Beyond that, sales should help dictate what folks want, and since our indications are that the single versions outsell the 2X versions.

I think this thread has reached the point where everything helpful that's going to come out of it, has come out of it.

Thank you all for your input into this matter. I appreciate having the chance to see the player-perspective arguments for both sides.
