Soundgarden DLC Giveaway on Twitter! Enter for a chance to win the DLC early!

Hey gang,

We told you we had more Soundgarden coming to Rock Band and now we're kicking off an awesome chance to get the new tracks in a really cool way. This week you’ll have a chance to win the entire Soundgarden pack before you can buy it in the in game marketplace. Be the first of your friends to play the new DLC!

We've got a bit more flexibility in running promos like this on Twitter but we wanted to make sure the forum faithful weren't missing out. So consider this your heads up, and follow us on Twitter (if you're not already) to keep in the loop on other breaking news and giveaways.

To enter the giveaway, follow @RockBand on Twitter and tweet with the hashtag “#SoundgardenRB”. That’s it! You can tweet anything – tell us your favorite Soundgarden song or the first time you saw Soundgarden live. Just be sure to include that hashtag to be entered to win! Entry period closes at 11:59 PM EST on July 12th.

Prize includes one Xbox 360 DLC code to download the Celebrating Soundgarden on Tour 2011 Pack, which includes the following songs:

* “Blow Up the Outside World”
* “Burden in My Hand”
* “Fell on Black Days”
* “Outshined”
* “Rusty Cage”
* “The Day I Tried to Live”

Prize does not include Pro Guitar upgrades, but several will be available on July 19th.

So what I'm getting from this is that Soundgarden ain't coming next week, but the week after but lucky winners will be able to play them a week early ahead of everyone? Just tweeted and hope I win, like the Ozzy code giveaway (well, didn't win it by HMX handing me a code, but I technically won a code from someone :P)

Also, no Black Hole Sun and Spoonman? I can only dream that in 2 weeks time, when I boot up RB3, there will be an update that will enable BHS and somehow, Spoonman.

Awesome though! About time Outshined and Rusty Cage is in RB. I was this close to getting the pack on GH.

These are all great songs, but they're not going to be fun to play for me, when I know that their label/management is blocking Black Hole Sun.

...but they could certainly be awesome for free

I hope we get the 2 missing ones back with the cross promotion that will come with their new album that comes out late '11 early '12. I still love the tracklist though being a big soundgarden fan (although I would have switched out blow up the outside world and day I tried to live for Beyond the Wheel and Loud Love).

Very happy with the song choices. I dont get why people would get so bent about no BHS or SM.. Havent we all played those songs to death? Personally I would take 6 new to RB SG songs than 4 new plus 2 rehashed ones.. Thanks HMX.
